Early bird discount

19th January, 2018

Norfolk Music Service are pleased to be offering an early bird discount for schools signing up for Whole Class Instrumental Teaching for the 2018/19 academic year!

A core requirement of the National Plan for Music Education is that every child should have the opportunity to learn a musical instrument through whole class instrumental teaching (WCIT). The Music Service currently delivers WCIT in over 80 schools across Norfolk, led by high-quality music teachers who develop musical skills that can be applied in National Curriculum music lessons. It has been bought in by school clusters and works well in school federations. For some children, these classes may be the start of a life-long hobby or, indeed, the first step on a rewarding career path. Many pupils choose to continue learning to play an instrument after completing their first year WCIT programme.

The Music Service offers a wide range of instruments for your school to choose from including strings, brass, percussion, woodwind, percussion, ukulele and classical guitar.

The cost of 3 terms of tuition on your chosen instrument is £950; however, any schools booking before 31 March for delivery from September 2018 can benefit from an early bird discount of £100 on delivery on the first class, bringing the cost down to £850. Tuition is provided for 33 weeks of the year with instrument hire included for the duration of the tuition.

Schools are eligible for 1 year group/class at this rate. Additional classes for the same or different teacher, instrument or day, are provided at a reduced rate.

There are also further opportunities within the scheme of external performances, massed ensemble celebration events in your local area, and workshops with visiting professional musicians. Schools can also benefit from additional support including CPD opportunities for staff and free access to Norfolk Music Hub's Premium Subscription package for Primary schools, with over £1,500 worth of savings included.
