The Norfolk Locally-Agreed Syllabus 2019 charts a new way forward for Religious Education, placing the subject within strong academic disciplinary traditions. This syllabus builds on the enquiry-based pedagogy advocated in 2012 but aims to raise expectations of both teachers and pupils in terms of the scholarly study of religion and worldviews.

The Standing Advisory Council for Religious Education (SACRE) have developed a key workshop to help you understand how the new Norfolk Agreed syllabus 2019 can be implemented in your school or academy. By attending the RE in a Changing World - Implementing the new Locally-Agreed Syllabus launch delegates will:

  • Understand the context and vision of the new Locally-Agreed syllabus
  • Understand how it will challenge and inspire pupils
  • Take part in a Key Stage focused workshop to support the implementation of the syllabus within your contexts.
