Primary Computing Subject Leader Twilights

Outline

This year’s package will support new and existing Computing Subject Leaders with the new inspection judgement ‘Quality of Education’. As an additional benefit, for the first time access to a variety of downloads to support the delivery of the computing curriculum will be provided to those who subscribe.

Description

The termly network meetings will focus on what the 3 ‘I’s - intent, implementation and impact - will look like for primary computing.

  • Intent: evidencing the computing curriculum with appropriate coverage, content, structure and sequencing and implementing it effectively
  • Implementation: demonstrating subject knowledge, presentation of material, assessment, and feedback
  • Impact: collating first-hand evidence of how pupils are doing, drawing together evidence from pupil interviews, observations, work scrutinies and documentary reviews.

The meetings will also provide:

  • support and guidance on creating and updating strategic development plans;
  • an overview of new and developing technologies;
  • training and support on new and existing devices, on-line tools, programs and apps;
  • updates on local and national initiatives related to the all areas of the Computing Curriculum.
