Embed an effective and impactful provision of RSHE with our support package!

This package includes the RSE Solution Resource, high-quality and evidence-based training delivered by our RSHE expert and a suite of tools to ensure your setting is fully enabled to deliver effective RSHE. This package will help you to feel confident to enjoy teaching Relationships Education, Relationships and Sex Education and Health Education (RSHE), knowing you are making a very real difference to the lives of your pupils.

Embedding Effective RSHE Support Package - What is involved?

Your Commitment

In order to gain the benefits of this package of support your PSHE lead will need to:

  • Attend the one-day comprehensive training course
  • Attend the 2.5 hour Running a successful RSHE parent engagement session training course
  • Deliver a RSHE INSET session using the video content and facilitator’s guide provided.

Online compliance

Whole School Action Plan

Align the key requirements of the new guidance against a whole-school approach, providing your school with a RAG rated report to help your PSHE lead identify areas of strength and development to ensure compliance with the new legal requirements on schools.

Co-ordinate your school’s RSHE compliance with an outline of proposed actions to take against each area of a whole-school approach.

Effective Parental Engagement


Pupil Participation 

The RSHE Bootcamp training covers everything your PSHE lead needs to enable a needs-led curriculum and whole-school approach to ensure measurable impact within your school. Outcomes include:

  • Understand key requirements of the new guidance, including legal duties and curriculum content
  • Know how to develop a strategic framework for RSHE within your school
  • Identify high quality, effective RSHE teaching, learning and assessment
  • Take a whole-school approach to embedding an effective RSHE curriculum, that meets the bespoke needs of your school.

The Effective Parental Engagement training will help your PSHE lead to feel confident to effectively engage parents about RSHE. Outcomes include:

  • Identify approaches that will maximise parental engagement, providing a menu of engagement opportunities
  • Anticipate and consider how to overcome parental anxieties and contentious responses to RSHE
  • Confidently facilitate an effective parental engagement session on RSHE, using a provided PowerPoint
  • Provide guidance and information to parents to support RSHE in the home.

Pupil participation is a key requirement of schools as they prepare for statutory RSHE. You may be concerned about how to effectively promote pupil voice in a meaningful way, given the current circumstances. Outcomes of this training include:

  • Understand the requirements of the RSHE guidance to promote pupil participation
  • Consider realistic approaches to promoting pupil participation
  • Identify practical tools to support effective pupil participation strategies.


Model RSHE policy and scheme of work

A fully customisable template policy that satisfies statutory requirements together with guidance to support your school to tailor this to its bespoke ethos and values.


Staff CPD (including digital inset and facilitator’s guide)

This training will help you to understand what underpins effective RSHE CPD, consider how to create the right environment for an inset and effectively use the provided model Staff CPD PowerPoint and facilitator guide.


KS1 and KS2 spiral bound RSE Solution Resource and 1-year subscription to the digital RSE Solution Resource

1-year subscription to the digital RSE Solution Resource

The RSE Solution Resource provides an outlined curriculum map which you will be able to customise by adding current initiatives and existing programmes of relevant RSHE delivery to develop a bespoke RSHE curriculum map for your school. Your RSE Solution Resource will also provide you with:

  • Teaching guidance to ensure high quality teaching and learning in the classroom
  • Customisable templates for your policy, letter home to parents and a model scheme of work
  • Six lesson plans for each year group that can be used flexibly
  • Downloadable visual resources for use in the lessons that are fully inclusive to ensure relevance to all pupils
  • Integrated assessment strategies.

Eight RSHE Solution Bulletins provide focused guidance and signposting to tools that will support your PSHE lead through each area of the whole-school approach.

The RSHE briefing will take you through key points and changes within the new guidance, with reflection activities to develop a realistic and impactful approach, supportive of your school ethos and values.

The RSHE Governor briefing will guide you through key points and changes within the new guidance including clarification of the Governors role in RSHE.

The RSHE SEND briefing will talk you through how the guidance translates into practice for children and young people with SEND, including reflection activities to help you think about the key outcomes you need to achieve in your school.


Assessment Module

The Assessment Module training will help you to clarify knowledge of the requirements of assessment in the new RSHE guidance and learn how to use assessment to provide evidence of impact.
