Robotics Roadshow

The Robotics Roadshow offers the ability to teach pupils about basic technology / computer science skills and concepts to solve practical quests.

The Robotics Roadshow makes coding fun, accessible and easy to teach. It helps educate pupils on the fundamental principles of computer science via these unique, programmable, quick-fit construction kits which can be built into multiple exciting robots!

This roadshow will inspire your pupils and support the curriculum. This innovative STEM project has the potential to link to a national robotics competition, but also to support schools establishing their own robotics curriculum enrichment activities and after-school clubs.

Robotics and the Curriculum

The Robotics Roadshow has many classroom based activities, which can help meet the requirements of the National Curriculum;

  • Create and debug simple programs
  • Use logical reasoning to predict the behaviour of simple programs
  • Design, write and debug programs that accomplish specific goals
  • Use sequence, selection, and repetition in programs; work with variable and various form of input and output
  • Convert between different units of measure (cm/mm)
  • Identify; angles at a point and one whole turn (360°), angles at a point on a straight line and 1/2 a turn (total 180°) and other multiples of 90°

The Roadshow will consist of pupils learning about the different types of robots used in everyday life and industry. They will investigate and design a robot suited for purpose.
